My passion for music has encircled me throughout my entire life. At 5 years old, I longed to play piano, and began lessons, finally, at the age of 9. I learned incredibly fast and began playing for weddings and church at the age of 11, and from then on piano was a primary focus well into my adult life.
I began my professional career at a young age and since then I have had the opportunity to gain experience in so many facets of the industry. I have performed solo concerts, worked with many vocal and instrumental soloists and ensembles, conducted choir and orchestra, traveled, taught, and performed with an award winning high school choir, been the pianist for countless musical theater shows, played for hundreds of weddings, many funerals, as well as using my talent as a soprano vocalist in worship bands and choirs. The ability to use my gifts to impact others has been such a joy and I hope to continue well into my retirement years.

I strive to do my absolute best in everything, not because I demand perfection for myself or from others, but rather because it strengthens my character as a diligent worker, nurtures a grateful heart towards God when using my talent, and rewards great satisfaction when the result reflects my best. I give myself the freedom to fail, yet the strength to get back up and try again knowing that each time I get to learn something new.
As a professional musician, accepting
gigs, raising two kids, being a participating parent in their schools, and supporting
their endeavors requires me to be as flexible as possible. As a piano teacher I take pride in providing
flexibility for my students and their families and am willing to adjust times
and days to the best of my ability as well as make time for make-up lessons in
case of unexpected cancellations.
I started playing for church services at the age of 11,
spent 5 years of my career being a music director for a church, and as much as
I enjoy all types of music, worship music is my favorite. I love being a part
of church life with the North Coast Worship Band at both the Rancho Bernardo
and San Marcos Campuses as well as Journey Church in Escondido where I play
piano and sing to help lead in weekly worship services. The ability to use my gifts to impact others
has been such a blessing.
Knowing that I can count on, be confident in, and trust
another person will result in a non-anxious, calm, and inviting environment. In
the same way, the accountability that comes with a habitual practice of
dependability is inspiring. In doing so, it makes it easy for me to follow
through, to show up when I have made a commitment, and to help foster that
attitude in my sphere of influence. Dependability provides consistency,
patience, and motivation.
